This idea started with an email. A friend of mine sent an email to a group of us to announce that she had been nominated for an award. She was thrilled, "tickled pink" to be exact....and it seemed that she was also a bit embarrassed to be telling all of us about her possible award. That's where this idea started. Why can we easily spread rumors and gossip but not good news? Why do we have such a hard time celebrating all the great things in our lives?
I wanted to create a place where we can celebrate the good things that happen. In our careers, in our families, in our lives. Little things, big things. Things we want to shout from the mountaintops and things we want to whisper to the world. I hope this will be the place to do just that. If you are Tickled Pink, I hope you'll share. If you want to GetTickledPink, then visit. And I hope you'll visit often. And here's some thing new: If you sign up now to recieve Tickled Pink by email or RSS feed (see the buttons on the upper right hand side? Use those!) or leave a comment or send me a Tickled Pink of yours to post, I'll send you a gift just to show you how Tickled Pink I am to have you visiting!
This is a great idea. I will keep it in mind and hopefully contribute when I get tickled pink!

I just love this webblog and not just because my dear friend created it! I have been dying to have Tickled Pink moment to share. I actually have many Tickled Pink moments with my children, friends and family but worthy of the blog... Anyway today I have something to celebrate, something to share, a true Tickled Pink moment! I was accepted into the Doctoral Program for Educational Leadership with VCU. As an educator, I truly believe in being a life long learner and the power of education. I will work in a cohort with other leaders from my school system. I am thrilled and just Tickled Pink to have this opportunity to grow professionally and personally! Wow! isn't it amazing how good it feels to share special news!
